Where / How to dispose your (real) Christmas tree around Ireland?
Christmas season is almost over (until next year). Our Christmas Trees have been standing proud in our leaving months, bringing life and joy to our families. It will be soon time to dispose them. But it has to be done properly disposed in recycling center that will accept them. Some won't.
Your Christmas Tree can go to your compost bin. Yes it possible! However, you cannot just put it in. You will need forts to cut it to make sure it fits in the bin and you can close it. Not so good for trying to gain time.
If you have a garden, you can cut branches and cover the ground with them to keep the ground warm and moisturised for next year plantations. You can also attached the tree to a real tree in the garden or a deck to provide shelter for birdies during winter. For ore ideas, check out this blog article from "family Handyman".
After looking for information to provide you a list of facilities to dispose your Christmas tree, I have to say... it's not as easy as it seems. The simplest solution (also the more expensive one but hassle free) is to get to a private contractor for a pick up at your home. With F#@&%£$ Covid19 some County Council recycling center have very reduce hours and with the new Level 5 Restrictions coming into place until 31st January, you might want to check with the facility the arrangement before you go to the centre.
