Practicing mindfulness to yourself as a mum is essential

Baby bottle in coffee machine

Earlier this morning I was working on an article about mindfulness for kids and I remembered what happened to me the other day. We had one of thus nights with baby Rose, she is teething and nights are complicated. She started waking up from 10.00 pm last night and by 1.00 am she was screaming and in tears. My partner went to bed and I took over. 3.00 am, still not asleep, we went down in the living room and I lied her on my belly. 4.45 I was finally able to put her back in her crib. I set up my alarm for 6.45 as she usually wakes up around this time to make sure I have her bottle ready AND A COFFEE. So I was preparing her bottle when I realised the bottle was in the coffee machine because my mug would not fit in the bottle warmer... I know today will be a long one and I will need to remind myself how a great mum I am. And if or when I'll be out of patience, mindfulness quotes will help me.
